Ask online casino players in Malaysia what their favourite game is, and the majority will say baccarat without hesitation. There's something special about it — simple yet never dull, fast-paced but never frantic, with better payout rates than most other casino games. That's why VG98 invested heavily in developing our baccarat section to ensure the experience truly matches that of the world's finest casinos.
VG98 Baccarat is more than just another online game. Every table is run by trained dealers who can communicate in Bahasa Melayu, making local players feel right at home. Our studio is equipped with high-definition cameras that capture every card movement and every round from multiple angles — giving you the visual clarity to verify each result with your own eyes.
One thing VG98 players consistently praise is the video stream quality, optimised specifically for users in Malaysia. Whether you're on home WiFi, Maxis 4G, or Celcom 5G, our platform automatically adjusts the stream quality to keep your experience seamless. No buffering, no freezing at that critical moment when the dealer flips the final card.
In recent years, Lightning Baccarat has overtaken standard baccarat as the most popular variant among Malaysian players who want more value from every round. The mechanics are easy to grasp: before the cards are dealt, between one and five card numbers are randomly selected and assigned surprise multipliers of up to 512x the bet value. This means a RM50 bet that would normally return RM50 could suddenly be worth RM25,600 if your cards match the selected numbers.
What makes Lightning Baccarat stand out is that it keeps all the rules of standard baccarat intact — you still choose between Player, Banker, or Tie — but adds a whole new layer of excitement that the classic variant simply doesn't have. Every round feels like two games in one: first the anticipation as the Lightning numbers are drawn, then the suspense as the cards are dealt. This double layer of emotion is what makes Lightning Baccarat so addictive in the best possible way.
Vg98 also offers Squeeze Baccarat for players who want the most dramatic baccarat experience available. In this variant, the dealer doesn't flip the cards over immediately — instead, they slowly "squeeze" or bend the edges of the cards to reveal the value little by little. This technique is a staple at land-based casinos in Macau and Las Vegas, and it adds extraordinary tension to every single round. At vg98, Squeeze Baccarat is available at two levels: a standard table and an exclusive VIP table for high-stakes players.
Baccarat is a game of chance, but that doesn't mean every betting decision carries the same weight. There are a few basic guidelines that can help you maximise your playing time and cut down on unnecessary losses.
First, the Banker bet statistically carries a slightly higher winning probability than the Player bet — approximately 45.9% versus 44.6% (with the remainder going to Tie). The 5% commission charged on Banker wins is there to offset this statistical edge. If you'd rather play without commission, try No Commission Baccarat at VG98, where Banker wins pay out at the full 1:1 rate.
Second, the Tie bet — despite its tempting 8:1 payout — carries a significantly higher house edge of 14.4%. Over the long run, this makes it the least profitable option at the table. It can work as an occasional side bet, but avoid making it your main strategy.
Third, set a session limit before you start playing. VG98 provides a Budget Limit feature in your account settings that lets you set a daily or weekly loss limit. Once the limit is reached, the system will alert you. This is the most effective way to keep baccarat an entertainment activity rather than a financial burden.
One of the biggest concerns for online players is game fairness. At conventional online casinos using an RNG (Random Number Generator), it is difficult for players to verify the integrity of outcomes. At VG98 Baccarat, however, every result takes place physically in front of the camera – real cards held and dealt by human hands. This makes fairness verification straightforward, as you can watch every single move yourself.
VG98 also adheres to 256-bit SSL encryption standards for all financial transactions. Deposits via Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, and FPX are processed through verified, secure channels. Your banking details are never stored or accessed by our systems — all payments are handled through certified third-party payment gateways.
Vg98's customer support team is fluent in Bahasa Melayu and available 24 hours a day via Live Chat, WhatsApp, and email — ready to assist with any questions on accounts, deposits, withdrawals, or technical issues. Malaysian players never have to deal with language barriers or slow response times — we understand what the local community needs and always put our players' satisfaction first.
